Pitch perfect, modern Barossa. Callum Powell, son of Dave Powell (ex-Torbreck & Powell & Sons) is a one man show. With a wealth of experience from the old man plus countless vintages - despite his young age - aboard in the northern Rhone, he’s re-defining what’s possible from the Barossa.  

These 100 year old vines from Eden Valley have made for a concentrated yet perfumed expression, more Syrah than Shiraz if you get our drift. Dark cherry and plum, boysenberry fruit, with a charred meat, black olive pressing and black pepper spice. Other earth things too. A ripper.
